boooooo!
I've been worried this was the case, ever since Benny had his ankle surgery in the pre-season. It breaks my heart.

annoyed
United lost (again). And the DVR decided to only record the first 8 minutes of The Office.

morning excitement
Just saw Eddie Gaven and someone else from The Crew at our morning coffee spot. Soccer players eat a lot for breakfast.
If only DC United players frequented the place, that'd be more exciting.

aw man!
On our last night in town, we're going to see DC United play across the street at the Texas Pro Soccer Festival; however, it does not look like we will be seeing any of the starters play. Maybe they'll all be on the bench and we can get autographs at least.

well
It was a good day: The Steelers killed in their opener, and DC United beat the Revs. Yay!
(It could have been better, the US Men's National team started out so well... but it was Brazil.)

little united fan

We thought that the team could use some extra help today.

It's also someone's birthday, so it seemed doubly appropriate.

boo
Since Comcast sucks, we couldn't watch the DC United - Chivas match on television, but Brendan is a wizard and got us a feed from China! It stinks that we couldn't pull it out, but at least we scored and played reasonably well.
I also learned that the Chinese really love whiskey and scotch. So many commercials at half time. Of course the match started at 9:35pm our time which is 9:35am there -- a very weird time for all those liquor commercials. (Here I was thinking it was more like 3am or something. Hm.)
Back to the match....
It wasn't as ugly as I thought it could have been -- especially since we were playing in Mexico.
What I really want to know is what Ben was saying to the player from Chivas he was walking off the field with at the end of the match.
